Metal is simply not natural looking and causes restorations to look dark and dull. But there are health concerns related to the use of dental metals as well. Silver-mercury fillings are now nearly obsolete because of the health risks they pose.

Our practice uses no silver mercury and will be happy to assist you in replacing older, failing amalgam restorations.
