Answering Wauconda Patients’ Questions

With the amazing advancements that have been made in cosmetic dentistry, it’s never been easier, more convenient or more comfortable to have the smile of your dreams. New technology makes it possible for us to complete even the most comprehensive procedures in two to three visits, correcting any problem and restoring any smile.
We understand that many of our patients feel nervous about their dental treatments. Some have difficulty getting numb. Others simply wonder how they can stay comfortable for longer procedures. We want every moment you spend with us to be relaxed and soothing. That’s why we work so hard to make our atmosphere calming and our services extra gentle and precise. We also offer Nitrous Oxide for another level of relaxation.
Some know Nitrous Oxide as laughing gas because of the exhilarating effect, the slight tingling feeling and the altered sense of time. Whatever you call it, this sedating and pain relieving gas can help you drift away into a blissful state during treatment. Sedation takes only about 30 seconds after administration. After your treatment is completed, we will administer pure oxygen and you will wake up and feel clear and able to drive in no time.
Just like you, your smile is unique. We take great care in designing a smile that complements you. We take a series of facial measurements to help us create a smile that is in proportion to your bone structure, age and gender. We want your smile to enhance your appearance and look completely natural.
After graduating from dental school, any dentist can call him or herself a “cosmetic dentist.” In reality, all cosmetic training occurs after graduation.
After Receiving her Doctorate in Dental Surgery, Dr. Lynn Podlasek has continued to advance her abilities and skills through numerous hours of continuing education, as well as being an active member in several prestigious dental associations.
Generally, patients report no pain after the implant placement!
Between 4-12 months, depending on the case.
Not necessarily. Our general dentists have had additional training in implant surgeries and are capable of handling most straightforward implant cases. On more complex cases, we may recommend a dental specialist.
Overall, no one but your dentist and you will know that you have an implant. The tooth shade is selected to match your own teeth. You still take care of it as you would your own teeth—normal brushing and flossing and dental check-ups.
We provide a full range of cosmetic dentistry services including teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, dental bonding, tooth contouring, and full smile makeovers. Our personalized approach ensures each treatment enhances your natural beauty and boosts confidence.
Metal-free dentistry uses advanced ceramic materials for crowns, bridges, and fillings, which are biocompatible, durable, and provide a natural look. This approach eliminates the risk of metal allergies and ensures a healthier, more aesthetic smile.
Laser gum recontouring gently removes excess gum tissue to reshape your smile and reduce the appearance of a “gummy smile.” It’s a minimally invasive procedure with faster healing time and precise results.

Full mouth restoration combines multiple dental treatments to rebuild and restore all teeth, improving function, appearance, and oral health. This comprehensive approach addresses bite alignment, tooth wear, and aesthetic concerns for a rejuvenated smile.

Crowns cover and protect weakened or damaged teeth, restoring their shape, strength, and function. With CEREC technology, we can design and place durable, natural-looking crowns in a single visit.

We offer several tooth replacement solutions including dental implants, implant-supported bridges, and custom dentures. Each option is tailored to your needs to restore chewing ability and maintain facial structure.

Our dental hygiene care focuses on personalized prevention, thorough cleanings, and education to maintain healthy gums and teeth. Regular hygiene appointments reduce the risk of cavities, gum disease, and improve overall oral health.

We prioritize urgent dental issues like toothaches, broken teeth, or infections. Contact us immediately, and we’ll do our best to provide prompt care to relieve pain and prevent complications.

Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made shells that cover the front of your teeth to correct chips, gaps, discoloration, and uneven alignment, creating a bright, natural-looking smile.

We recommend routine dental exams and cleanings every six months to catch issues early, maintain oral health, and keep your smile looking its best.

Yes, we provide both in-office Zoom! whitening and custom at-home whitening kits, designed to safely brighten your smile several shades in just a few treatments.
We would be happy to send out pre-authorizations to your dental insurance if you would like to know your out-of-pocket expenses before your treatment.
